Turf Package

The TURF PACKAGE is designed to protect
a turf field from damage caused by sled use.
Order the package as standard equipment
on a new Gilman sled or retrofit an existing sled.
The Wheel Transport Kit and Stainless Steel
Runners can be ordered separately or together
as a package.

The Stainless Steel Runner is made from grade
304 polished stainless. The advantages of
stainless steel:
• Never rusts. No rust stains!
• Eliminates paint. No paint stains!
• Eliminates abrasion. No drag!
• Rounded and capped ends. No sharp edges!

The WHEEL TRANSPORT KIT moves the sled
off the field. The kit consists of a front and
back wheel assembly. Each assembly clamps to
the chassis. The back wheel pivots for ease in
steering. The front wheel is fixed. Both wheels
have two positions. Up – when the wheels are
off the ground and nesting on the chassis. In
this position, the sled is ready for blocking and
tackling. Down – when the wheels are engaged
and the whole sled is elevated. In this position,
the sled moves easily. The number of kits needed
depends on the size of the sled.

Four sets are required for 5 to 7-Man Sleds and two sets for 2 to 4-Man Sleds.
