Thor’s Hammer

The THOR’S HAMMER is a boxing glove on a stick. It’s a tool to punch and poke at the football while a running back is carrying the ball. Use it it teach ball security. Today’s defenses will attack the football and try and create a turnover. It is critically important for a ball carrier to carry the football high and tight and practice the 5 points of pressure. If a ball carrier is not squeezing the ball tight against his chest, the ball will come out when “punched.” Use it as a distraction tool to challenge Wide Receivers to focus and concentrate on a thrown football. The padded glove is mounted on an extension pole giving the holder a long reach.
