FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How do I place an order?
A: Placing an order with Gilman Gear is easy. All you need to do is call toll free at 1-800-243-0398 Mon-Fri 8:00 AM-5:00PM ET, or shop online.


Q: Do the prices in the catalog include freight?
A: No. To find out how much the freight is, call our toll free number and ask for a freight quote. Give the customer service representative a list of the product you are interested in as well as the destination zip code. Please indicate whether your shipment is commercial or residential. The rep will quote you the freight while you wait.


Q: Do you accept school purchase orders?
A: Yes, we accept school purchase orders. If your school system does not use purchase orders we accept signed purchase agreements. Please call to obtain one.


Q: Is dated billing available?
A: Yes. Schools can place an order and request July 1, or October 1 billing. You will be billed immediately after the order is shipped with a Due and Payable date of July 1 or October 1 reflected on the invoice. The order must be confirmed with a purchase order number or signed purchase agreement.


Q: How do I check the status of an order?
A: During our busy season it generally takes 3-4 weeks for your order to arrive. If it has been longer than three weeks since you placed your order, please call our toll free number to check your order status. If you have already received your invoice and are waiting for your products to arrive, please note that the tracking numbers are included on the invoice. The method of shipment can be found in the box labeled “Shipped Via” and the tracking numbers are in the box labeled “Pro #”. Please look in the text of the invoice for additional tracking numbers if applicable.


Q: Are your products available in different colors?
A: Our sled pads, dummies and shields are available in different colors. Check product page for color availability. Non-stock colors are available at an additional charge.


Q: Do your products come pre-assembled?
A: Due to shipping constraints most of our products require some assembly. Assembly instructions and diagrams are enclosed in the hardware package.


Q: What is your warranty policy?
A: Gilman warranties all of its products to be free from defect in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of one year from date of delivery to original buyer. Sled springs and frames are covered for a period of four years.


Q: How do I return a product?
A: A product can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Please call to obtain a return authorization number. All returns except for those covered under warranty are subject to a 15% re-stocking charge. Customer is responsible for freight on non-warranty returned products.
